Lesson Information:

Entrances are an online-ism and are not actually portrayed in the books. However, they are expected of all slaves upon entering any Gorean room and especially Oasis of Two Scimitars. There are two forms of entrance accepted in Oasis of Two Scimitars: the full protocol and the low protocol.

The full entrance should be more creative and personal than the low protocol. This is the “first impression” of the slave every time they first enter the room. It does not have to be real long, but it should cover the basics while painting a picture of the slave’s movements, appearance, and submission and is preferred to be a single paragraph.

The “low protocol” entrance can be used in two different occasions. The first would be if something is going on in the room as a slave enters, they may be ordered to enter “low protocol”. Should this occur, the slave is to just enter and follow orders given to either do minimal greets or to hold greets until whatever is going on has been completed (i.e. a meeting, ceremony, punishment, test, etc.). The other occasion to use “low protocol” is if the slave only has fifteen minutes or less to spend in the room. Then upon entering, the slave may beg to enter “low protocol”. If permission is given, then only basics are done in both entrance and greets. However, slaves cannot request “low protocol” just because they do not feel like being descriptive or putting much effort behind their posts.
